Elements of a Story
This week students were introduced to core elements of a story.
1. Settings - Where the story takes place. There can be more than one location in a story.
2. Characters - A character can be a person or animal that performs any action or has dialogue that advances the plot of a story. Students were able to distinguish between the main character and secondary characters.
3. Events - Beginning, Middle and End - Students identified the major points in the story that took place in this sequence.
4. Problem - The problem is any hardship or struggle the main character goes through
5. Solution - The solution is how the characters solve the problem
